As the Economy becomes more sluggish, more and more people could lose their health care coverage over the next several months. This means many individuals may not be able to afford their medications because of the cost of the medications for those without coverage.

Regional Outreach Coordinator, Michael Hargrove, says that this could cause many problems for residents in Washington. The cost of not being able to afford your medications can be devastating to one?s health.

The Community Assistance Program is in business in offering free services such as their discount pharmacy card program. These cards are offered free through their network and can be used at anyone of the participating pharmacies such as the Costco’s CVS’S Walgreen’s, Wal-Mart’s are just a few of the 56,000 pharmacies throughout the United States.

In order for Washington residents to save money, they just need to hand the card to one of the participating pharmacies to start saving right away.
